Welcome Holiday Hoppers! You should be here after visiting the amazing Laura Achilles blog (lauraachilles1.wordpress.com)
Well, I know you have already seen a lot of incredible projects in this blog hop, here is my holiday inspiration....my own version of the 12 days of Christmas ( a mini advent calendar) ...12 days of activities that mean something to our famliy.
I stapled chicken wire to a frame to create my bullentin board. (After the holidays, this will serve as a daily bullentin board)
Plastic name badges became my calendar "pages" and the badges are stuck to my bulletin board using silver clothes pins from Canvas Home Basics.
I used Elles Studio Holiday Numbers adhered to the plastic name badges with Helmar Premium Craft Glue.
I used Best Creations Glitterd Cardstock (have you worked with this glittered cardstock? IT IS A-MAZING!) and on the back side of the glittered cardstock, I adhered regular white cardstock with my 12 days of Christmas activities (using Helmar Acid Free).
From here, you should be hopping on over and being really inspired by our own Amy Teets - She always rocks my scrappy world!
Thanks for stopping by today!
If you leave a comment, please leave a note about your own family traditions during the holidays!

This is simply stunning.
The chicken wire frame is a great idea, and being able to repurpose it is even better! Thanks for sharing your talent and inspiring my creativity.
So cute!!! And goes to show even chicken wire can be used for a variety of craft ideas!!!!
Our family tradition is pj's. Every Christmas eve we get to open one gift and in it was new pj's and a book......my grandma started it with her kids and then my mom and now me. I know it's because there are tons of pics the next morning but I love finding the perfect and special book for each of my four kids....... It's my favorite gift to shop for!
Great idea! Love the chicken wire :)
So cute!
One of our family traditions is that each of my boys (now grown) have their own box of ornaments....either from a trip, or some significant thing from the year, or one they made in school. They will get their box when they get married.
wonderful project - love how you used the tags. We love to have a present treasure hunt every year
What a great idea- very cute.
What a new way of seeing chicken wire! :D And your tags are cute.
Hi Shelly - love the idea for a bulletin board...and 12 days of Holiday activities sounds wonderful!!
What an awesome idea for a bulletin board!
We don't really have any sort of traditions in our family, just everyone comes to our house on Christmas day (because that's where the grand kids live) and we exchange gifts and then eat-all day long lol
Hugs,
Kristina
Love your project so cool with the chicken wire...
what a neat idea!!
Oh EM GEE Shelly, This is precious. Super wonderful idea. YOu always inspire me. Hugs and Happy Holidays

I love Best Creations glittered paper too!! :)
Cute! I happen to have a bulletin board just sitting around, I'll have to give this a try!
LOVE this project!! Thanks for sharing. :)
Our family always comes together on Christmas Day. We arrange all the presents under the tree, take pictures and then its time to eat dinner. Yes, we eat dinner first before digging into all the goodies under the tree! Sometimes, I tell you, its a fastly-eaten meal. We love to be together all day long! Like this idea as its totally cool! Kelly
Awesome board. Thanks for sharing. For christmas we do the 25 days of Movies on Tv or our own favorites on blu ray. After dinner we get together and watch a christmas movie and sunggle up on the couch and eat popcorn. I'm not sure how many more years we can get away with it, it's hard keeping my 11 yr old into the whole idea.
Love the idea of Chicken Wire in your project. Great idea
What a great project. We let the girls open one small gift from eachother on xmas eve.
These blog hops are not successful without the wonderful creators of the projects
thanks for the fun, inspiration and chance to win.

Great idea. We really don't have any traditions except what we make for dinner!
Oh I love this, and I actually have chicken wire! And love that it can be used all year, thanks so much for the inspiration!!! Family traditions... we always put up the tree on Thanksgiving, we make great-great grandma's sugar cookies, and we always drive and look for Christmas lights.
I love the numbered cards. I have a wire frame that I change with the seasons with old cards or tickets to upcoming events. I love your idea and will use it! Thank You

We always bake tons of different kinds cookies and give them out to all the neighbors! My 15 yr old son is having surgery this yr right before Christmas so not sure if we are going to get this task accomplished this yr or not!

How different--great idea! Thanks for sharing.
What a fabulous idea! LOVE IT! Thanks for sharing!
Our family tradition is Christmas breakfast of homemade cinnamon rolls and egg casserole and then onto the opening of our STOCKINGS!

What a cute idea Shelly to use Chicken wire and clothespins.
Fantastic project. I love that you can use it all year long, not just around the holidays! We don't have many traditions, but one is that the kids scrap their own projects (usually with cut out shapes and construction paper) and those are our family Christmas cards.
FAb...going on my list of Helmar and misc,
Too cute! Love the chicken wire! My holiday traditions always center around music and other plays. It's a busy, but very fun season!
cute ... and those decorated clothespins you can get at the dollar store would work wonderfully, too!
Most of our traditions have to do with our faith. We just got home from the kids Sunday School concert where the little angels and shepherds stole everyone's hearts, as usual!
Very cool idea with the chicken wire on the frame. Love it!
Your project is great. In my family we have "Holy Supper" on Christmas Eve and the food is all polish. We then hang out and sing Christmas carols and have fun just being together.
Imitation will be my flattery to you!
Great use of chicken wire-it has a great pattern!
What a great idea for a mini calendar. It looks great and I'm sure your family loves it.
thanks for the crate project idea..:D
What a creative use for chicken wire! I love your project Shelly!!! I need to get some of those tags too!
Favorite holiday traditions at our house are getting our Hallmark ornament for the year and then trimming it on the tree on Christmas Eve. The kids now get one too and it's so fun!
I really love you frame it is wonderful and would add to anyones home and would make a great gift
Our family tradition well they are changing now my oldest son got married last year and we are having to adjust and learn to share but we always get up early and open gifts and have cinnimon rolls for breakfast

Very cute project! One of our traditions is that my Dad reads Twas the Night before Christmas to the grandkids on Christmas Eve. He started reading it to me and my brother when we were babies!!

what a great idea to use chicken wire. family tradition- me and my girls (ages 2 and 4) make ornaments for our tree. so fun.
The chicken wire was a great touch!!! This will be easily usable at any time during the year. :) Our family traditions usually revolve around cooking food together. We all have our job in making a dish which makes it even more special when we sit down to share it together. Happy Holidays!
seriously cool Shelly!
Great bulletin board!
We have to have apple cider.....just when you think the kids are big and don't care.....it's a must have!
the chicken wire is awesome! Our tradition is the Christmas eve present, which is pj's for everyone to wear :)
Oh my! How adorable is this! I love the use of chicken wire! And what a great way to make a Christmas item into an everyday use! Fabulous idea!!!
What a great idea for a bulletin board/advent calendar! I am really enjoying this blog hop. Christmas traditions for us are few...we tend to take the holidays slowly and allow less stress. One thing we have been doing is getting new pjs on Christmas eve and then all 4 (me, dh, and 2 ds's) watch the updates on Santa from Norac Tracks Santa site. The kids look forward to that every year!
Awesome bulletin board-and it truly fits my "style". Even though all my boys are grown-their stockings are the best part of Christmas.
Love it - great idea!!
what a great and fun way to display a countdown.
We watch our kids open their presents & then I make breakfast. My parents & in-laws come over for a big Christmas meal & then enjoy watching the kids play with their new stuff.
Very cute idea! Thanks for sharing with all of us. Happy Holidays! aj

FABULOUS project.....TFS
Cute project! Family traditions... Each year the children and I create some type of handmade Christmas decoration. Our children also receive a dated ornament each year. Our other tradition - hosting Christmas dinner with extended family - won't happen this year since we've recently moved to another state, but we're hoping to start some new traditions this year, too.
I love the chicken wire frame. Fabulous Bulletin board! And the tags are adorable!
Too flippin cute!!
ohhhhhh I love your bulletin board idea! It would be perfect for my kitchen!
What a great idea. I wonder if we have any chicken wire.
So cute and clever! One of my traditions at home is to always make a huge mess baking christmas cookies!

Love the project!
We travel to visit family every year for christmas which i love
Wow just gorgeous!

So cool! Just thinking what my grandparents would think to see chicken wire as a design element now. LOL TFS Paula
One fun thing we did was that my Mom made stockings for my grandparents and Santa would fill them while we visited.
paula
wow, this looks like so much fun!!!
Great project. Haven't done an advent calendar before, but like the idea of them; especially yours which isn't filled with candy.
Our family tradition is to get a new ornament each year.

What a creative idea, using chcken wire on the frame....just perfect! One of our holiday traditions is opening one present on Christmas Eve, after we get home from Church. My family always had the 1 present opening on Christmas Eve, as I was growing up, now I have grandchildren and they open one gift after church on Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas! Mary
What a clever idea!!
Love how this turned out!!

Cute project! Our favorite tradition is to get our boys a new ornament each year that they will get to take with them when they have a Christmas tree of their own someday!
OMG I just made one of those too, aren't they great!
I want that darling bulletin for all year long, soooo cute! My favorite tradition is reading an inspirational story about giving every night in December!

OMGosh! What a FAB IDEA! Love this!
WOW! never would have thought to use chicken wire on a project. Lovely
I LOVE how you used the chicken wire!!! This is so wonderful! One of our family traditions (since I was a child) that we carried on for our boys is a small gift everyday until Christmas.... it's not always a toy or anything like that... it might be a family movie night, baking cookies, etc.!
Thank you so much for sharing!!!

I love how you shortened the calendar to just 12 days. Great for little ones!
Every year the girls get together to make chocolates, cookies, caramels, fudge and all sorts of slimming delights ;) Two days, five women, and millions of dirty dishes.
Chicken wire has so many more uses than keeping chickens in :)
love the chicken wire frame...very wonderful tags!
Shelly, this is adorable! Love the chicken wire!! :)
